Samantha Peel is the Creative Communities Programme Coordinator.
Samantha is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Creative Communities programme at Northumbria University, Newcastle. Please contact her if you have any queries about our work or if you’d like to be referred to a member of the research team.
She joins the programme from a similar role at CRASSH in the University of Cambridge, where she worked with research projects receiving European Research Council and Andrew W Mellon Foundation funding, and was also the Centre Administrator of gloknos, the Centre for Global Knowledge Studies.
Prior to that, Samantha was Outreach Historian at the WHO Centre for Global Health Histories, housed in the University of York, where she worked on collaborative policy-oriented events, research outreach and impact, and on the public-facing multilingual book series that published Mental Health: Pasts, Current Trends and Futures, among others. Before that, she studied for a scholarship-funded MA in Modern History at the University of York.
