Northern Ireland Policy Sprint

The AHRC Creative Communities programme Northern Ireland Policy Sprint was hosted by the Committee for Communities at the Northern Ireland Assembly.

The Sprint mobilised creative facilitation to encourage discussion, identify opportunities and tackle challenges using culture as a lever to unlock the potential of national devolution.

The AHRC Creative Communities team shared policy proposals and recommendations from the Northern Ireland Policy Lab. The Sprint considered specific Northern Ireland policy contexts, including history of collaboration, opportunities to do policy in a more collaborative way, the value and potential for policy collaboration across health, justice, community and education, the need for broader participation in decision-making, and Northern Ireland’s representation in UK R&D & policy making.

Findings from this event will inform policy recommendations in the Northern Ireland Devolution Policy Provocation Paper.
