Liverpool City Region Combined Authority

The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) is an Established Mayoral Strategic Authority.

The LCRCA was established in April 2014. In March 2024, the UK Government confirmed ‘Level 4’ devolution powers for the Combined Authority. The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority became an Established Mayoral Strategic Authority in May 2026.

The current mayor, Steven Rotheram, was elected for a four-year term in May 2024. He works with the leaders of the six Local Authority councils on devolved decision-making and funding.
