North East Policy Lab: Belonging

The AHRC Creative Communities programme North East Policy Lab took place at the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, on 30 September 2024.

The Lab brought together a broad range of participants, including policymakers from UK Government, private sector, industry, academics, third sector and community representatives, creative freelancers and young people.

Through creative facilitation, the digital and creative skills themed Policy Lab encouraged cross-sector discussion to uncover opportunities and address challenges using culture as a lever to unlock the potential of devolution.

The policy recommendations from the Policy Lab will enable culture to create a stronger, fairer economy and society through cross-sector collaboration and delivery into digital and creative skills. The policy proposals will be presented to a diverse range of stakeholders later this year.
