CKC 2023: New Futures for Creative Economies was hosted this year in Bristol, hosted through the collective effort of Creative Economies Lab, UWE Bristol, and Inclusive Economy Initiative, University of Bristol. The conference was dedicated to making visible different ways of ‘doing’ the creative economy. The conference aimed to draw on the experiences, narratives, research, thinking, and stories of academics, makers, activists, and thinkers to imagine an alternative to our current model of creative work.
Can we make an economy that is greener, more democratic and more inclusive?
Day 1 of #CKC2023 was so engaging I barely looked at my phone! Vital discussions on language & power, commoning & balancing the myth of creating with the reality – thanks @risingartagency @stxwelch @morvc @muirtiki @tweetcraftspace @amytwiggerh & all other @‘s I couldn’t find!
