Andy joins the programme from the British Film Institute, where he was Screen Heritage Producer for the BFI Film Audience Network. In collaboration with Film North, Andy was overseeing the New Directions fund that encouraged exhibitors to deliver screenings and events that drew on and celebrated the National and Regional Film Archives.
Before that Andy undertook an AHRC-funded PhD at the University of Sunderland, which was a collaborative work with the Amber Film & Photography Collective exploring the funding and distribution of Amber’s community, radical, independent film and video through the 1980s and 1990s was a co-founder of the Marc Karlin Archive.
