The West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) is an Established Mayoral Strategic Authority.
The first WYCA devolution deal was agreed in 2020, and from April 2026 the West Yorkshire CA moves to a new Integrated Settlement deal.
The current mayor, Tracy Brabin, was elected in 2020 and in 2024, currently serving a four-year term. She works with the leaders of the five constituent councils on devolved decision-making and funding.
