The Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) is a Mayoral Strategic Authority.
The TVCA was established in 2016. The current mayor, Ben Houchen, was elected in 2017, in 2021 and in 2024. He works with the leaders of the five Local Authority councils on devolved decision-making and funding.
