Greater London Authority

The Greater London Authority (GLA) is an Established Mayoral Strategic Authority with a bespoke devolution deal.

The GLA was established in 2000 after a local referendum. The Greater London Authority is comprised of the Mayor of London and the London Assembly.

The current Mayor is Sadiq Khan, who was elected in May 2024 for a four-year term.

The London Assembly is made up of 25 members: 14 constituencies and 11 all-of-London members. The Assembly was elected in May 2024 and terms will last four years.
