Prof Katy Shaw, Director of Creative Communities, delivered a talk about project research at this Arts Council England event to policy, creative, industry and community audiences.
Featuring talks from Sunderland Culture, the recently launched Newcastle Creates, Stoke Creates and other cross-sector experts, the conference aimed to explore and evaluate the role and impact of Cultural Compacts.
Cultural Compacts were created initially in 2018 by Arts Council England and DCMS to explore how culture in cities might be more effectively and sustainably resourced, and reinvigorate the ways for sharing impactful cultural activity and investment.
