Dr Andy Robson from Creative Communities is due to attend this event ahead of our phase two policy activities, including cross-nation and cross-sector policy labs. The Creative Communities team will work with external stakeholders and the five forthcoming Community Innovation Practitioners to facilitate new thinking around possible policy solutions that could be put in place to support the growth and capture the value of Creative Communities. The policy labs will mobilise co-creation methods of policy formation meaning that the recommendations can be co-authored, valued and owned, and will offer new knowledge that can be practically contribute to the strategic development of policy planning across sectors.

UPEN is a community of UK universities committed to increasing the impact of research on policy. They offer a dedicated contact point for policymakers, and a collective response to requests for evidence. They also organise knowledge exchange events with government, parliament, devolved bodies, and identifies mechanisms to take forward specific projects, as well as championing best practice amongst universities in policy engagement activities.
