Education Through Podcasting Conference 2026

Dr Lauren Baker Mitchell, AHRC Creative Communities Senior Research Fellow, joined Vic Turnbull, Founder and Chief Executive of MIC Media at the Education Through Podcasting conference 2026.

Lauren and Vic shared reflections on the Creative Communities podcast and the pivotal role it has played in the Community Innovation Practitioner awards. Discussing the podcast process and published outcome as a convening force for the CIP community of practice, Lauren and Vic outlined how this vital output from the award democratises partnership R&D and gives literal voice to the CIPs and their partners, communities and co-researchers.

The Creative Communities podcast is produced by MIC Media – it explores how groundbreaking cultural research, creativity and inclusive innovation can empower us to build stronger, more resilient communities across the devolved nations and regions of the UK. Season 2 arrives in October 2026 with new episodes from the 2025-26 Community Innovation Practitioners.

The Education Through Podcasting conference (EPOD) is a partnership between RoutledgeMorley College London, the University of Staffordshirethe University of Leeds and the University of South Florida.
