Prof Katy Shaw, Director of the AHRC Creative Communities programme, delivered a keynote presentation on programme learning at the 2025 Discovering Collections, Discovering Communities conference. The DCDC conference is a major international, cross-sector event hosted in partnership by The British Library, Jisc, and The National Archives.
Katy spoke about the AHRC Creative Communities programme’s work to capture the inspiring explosion of collaboration and connectivity that can unlock the full potential of our arts and culture to create a stronger, fairer economy and society for the future.
Founded in 2013, the conference brings together delegates from the gallery, library, archive, and museum sectors and the academic community (GLAMA) with the key aim of promoting cross-sector collaboration and knowledge sharing. The 2025 conference asked participants to Choose Your Own Future and consider themes of resilient communities and sustainable solutions.
